On October 18, 2011, Equinox purchased from The Sports Club Company four Sports Club/LA clubs located in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Irving and Rockefeller Center. Over the next six months, Equinox will transition these clubs to the Equinox brand. The Sports Club/LA clubs in Boston, Miami, San Francisco, New York on the Upper Eastside and Washington, DC, as well as Reebok Sports Club/NY, are not affected by this acquisition and will continue to be owned and operated by Millennium Partners Sports Club Management, as they have since 2006.
